This shooting game is simple, addictive fun. You have to run around old and mythical environments and fight the demons that fling themselves at you. Some scurry along the ground, and some come from above. It is your job to blast them out of your way so you may continue your invasion of their homeland.
An Addictive Shooter For Daydream View Compatible Phones
The reason that Hunters Gate is addictive is because you are hit with a barrage of different demons, and destroying them is very satisfying. The demons explode and die in a number of ways, and the fireworks they create when they die makes gameplay feel like you are playing an advanced Vegas fruit machine, which is probably why it is so addictive. Hunters Gate has reasonably good graphics. The game offers reasonably well designed characters and settings, but the explosion and particle effects need some serious updating. The game looks like a very polished Wii game (in a good way) with better textures and shading, but the explosion effects are reminiscent of old arcade games.
A Good Effort With Room For Improvement
It would be nice if they added a few extras onto the Hunters Gate game, such as more varied weapons, more environmental factors, and a little more variety in the combat. Still, since games for the Daydream View VR are part of a new industry, one has to give this game the benefit of the doubt. It is not unreasonably priced, and will kill a few hours with enjoyable shooting fun.
